Whistle Blowers FC

Whistleblowers FC was started by a few referees who wanted a place for others to get together and enjoy the other side of football again but most importantly as a place to feel part of a team. Refereeing can be a lonely job and a lot can happen to or around you that you can’t go back to changing room and speak about as players can so end up carrying it with you.

With mental health, especially in men becoming a more wide spread issue that there’s less of a stigma in admitting to and talking about we wanted to give a place where similar minded people can get together and help them realise that no matter how lonely refereeing can be, we’re all in it and there for eachother to talk and to be listened to. For the reasons above our team was started and now our mission is two fold, to support referees mental health and to raise money for local causes, most notably helping to raise £1k approx alongside SELK for the Baldon hamper appeal.
